Addleshaw Goddard and Allen & Overy (A&O) have landed the lead roles on the merger announced today (12 September) between Portman Building Society and the UK’s largest building society, Nationwide, continuing a strong run in the sector for the national firm.
Addleshaws is advising Portman – the UK’s third-largest building society – on the deal, which is subject to regulatory approval, while A&O is acting for Nationwide.
