Royal & Sun Alliance (RSA) has decided not to replace UK head of legal Douglas Ponting, who has stepped down from the insurance giant after nine years.
The FTSE 100 insurance company confirmed that Ponting, who was based at the company’s Horsham offices, left at the end of July in order to take early retirement. The company has not hired anyone to replace him, although in-house lawyer Simon Logan has taken on some of his responsibilities in overseeing part of its legal function based in Horsham.
