The Football League will not appeal its failed £142m negligence claim against Hammonds, officially bringing to an end one of the highest-profile disputes faced by a commercial law firm.
The League, which was awarded nominal damages of £2 in June after the High Court ruled against the claim, announced the decision on 4 August, the last day available for lodging a formal appeal.
