The House of Lords today (19 July) imposed a limit on the power of European regulators to influence domestic competition policy in a judgment billed one of the most important competition rulings for years.
The case saw the Lords overturn an earlier appeal court decision in the closely-watched Inntrepreneur Pub Companies and Courage Breweries v Crehan.
