The Institute of Paralegals last month hosted a meeting with the backing of the Department for Constitutional Affairs (DCA) as part of a drive to improve diversity in the legal profession.
The meeting was attended by officials from groups including the Bar Council, the Law Society and the Commission for Racial Equality. Those attending the meeting agreed that progress in improving diversity was too slow, claiming the Government and frontline regulators should become more actively involved in the process.
