Heavyweights on the move: Longstanding external adviser Osborne makes switch to GM
Bluechip brewing and automotive companies recruit top partners from external advisers as general counsel; while Barclays makes second senior legal hire in as many months. Ed Thornton reports on the latest in-house moves
Another multinational corporate to have recently filled a vacant general counsel post with one of its long-standing external advisers is General Motors (GM). Last month the automotive giant announced it was to hire Jenner & Block head of corporate Robert Osborne, who has acted as one of the company’s main advisers for more than 20 years.
