New York’s Simpson Thacher & Bartlett has advised buy-out house Blackstone on its $9bn (£7.1bn) acquisition of Trizec Properties.

Simpson Thacher is advising Blackstone, which is part of a joint venture with Canada-based Brookfield Properties, to buy New York Stock Exchange-listed Trizec Properties and its Canadian arm Trizec Canada. Trizec is one of the biggest commercial landlords in the US. The deal is the largest public to private real estate acquisition ever.
