New York leader Cadwalader Wickersham & Taft has announced it is to finally put fee-earners into its China office, its second base outside the US, which it officially opened a year ago.

New York-based corporate partner Mark Roppel, who will transfer in the coming months, becomes the firm’s first partner to be based in Beijing and will staff the office along with capital markets special counsel Edwin Jean and four locally-qualified consultants.
