Since the collapse of Enron in November 2001, ethics and compliance have risen up the priority list of all corporations. The spectacular implosion of what had been one of the largest companies in the US left no one in any doubt about the potential impact of a failure of corporate accountability and an unethical company culture.

Post-Enron, ethics and compliance training has developed into a significant part of a company’s internal training programme. However, the history of this subject goes back at least 20 years.
