City firms’ lobbying efforts sprung to life this week with the news that the City of London Law Society (CLLS) has secured a date to appear before the Parliamentary committee overseeing the Legal Services Bill.

CLLS chairman David McIntosh will give evidence in the House of Lords on behalf of the City’s legal profession on 22 June. The CLLS’ response is currently being signed off by the body’s 43 law firm members to be submitted to the committee this week.
