The Law Society has been fined £250,000 for missing performance targets as relations between Chancery Lane and Legal Services Commissioner Zahida Manzoor last week hit a new low.
Man zoor last week announced the penalty for missing complaints-handling targets, the first since the Lord Chancellor, Lord Falconer in 2004 handed the commissioner powers to fine the society.
