The vast majority of corporate counsel would like a seat at their employer’s top table but only a minority have their place reserved. These are the key findings of The Verdict survey of senior corporate counsel, carried out in association with Davies Arnold Cooper.

Two-thirds (66%) of the 50 respondents to this month’s survey thought that the general counsel should sit on the board of directors, but a huge 70% said this was not the case at their company – many in-house lawyers are clearly dissatisfied with the seniority their general counsel is afforded by the company structure.
