Berwin Leighton Paisner (BLP) is set to see its average profits per equity partner figure smash through the £600k barrier for the first time as the firm gears up to celebrate another record financial year.
Preliminary figures released this week show its partner profits figure up 10.5% to £630,000, while expected turnover is up 20% to £145m. The partner profits figure takes the firm above the current profit level of more established City names such as Ashurst, whose 2004-05 figure stands at £567,000. The results come as mid-tier firms continue to see a substantial increase in turnover following sustained transactional activity in the UK’s upper mid-market.
