The City’s current economic ebullience has been credited with spurring a turnaround in fortunes for the Commercial Court, which has seen its caseload increase substantially from its lull the previous year.

According to the latest annual report of the Commercial Court, in the year ending 31 July, 2005, the number of cases heard climbed to 97, a substantial increase on the previous year’s figures, which had seen the caseload drop to a five-year low of just 58.
