Zantaz has brought its on-demand e-mail archiving and disclosure product, Digital Safe, to Europe. The company, which specialises in archiving and discovery management, says it has tied up with high security hosting facilities in the European Union (EU) in order to meet EU data protection requirements; the system is already widely used in the US.

“The update to the civil procedure rules forces companies in the UK to take a hard look at their information retention policies and systems,” said Gautam Bhattacharyya, a litigation partner at Richards Butler. “We are helping our large, global clients think about what IT systems, such as e-mail archiving, need to be in place in order to be prepared for possible litigation and disclosure requirements.”
