tim bratton, ft groupThe majority of corporate counsel welcome the involvement of procurement professionals in purchasing legal services, according to the latest findings of The Verdict, carried out by Legal Week in association with Davies Arnold Cooper.

In total, more than two-thirds of the senior in-house lawyers surveyed (69%) said the use of procurement professionals is, to some extent, a good idea. However, a closer look at the findings reveals this endorsement to be somewhat guarded: while 23% said the use of procurement specialists is a ‘very good idea’, 46% were more lukewarm in their praise, describing it as ‘quite a good idea’.
