I began legal life as a trainee in the Leeds office of Eversheds in 2003, having earlier completed a summer vacation placement with the firm in 2001. Eversheds trainees are able to take their pick of the firm’s 10 UK offices, including locations as diverse as London, Cambridge and Newcastle. So why did I choose Leeds?
Many feel that the quality of life in the north has a real impact on the quality of training, work environment and the typical personalities of northern lawyers. However, do not be fooled into thinking that working in Leeds means a slower pace of life. Clients are as demanding as ever and deadlines still have to be met. But there is an unmistakable difference from the other regions.
