Shoosmiths has signed a three-year deal with HP to minimise downtime in the event of an emergency, as part of a review of the top 50 firm’s IT infrastructure.

The deal guarantees a maximum downtime of four hours. “Client demands are changing. They are now asking us specifically what our business continuity plans are,” said Carol Light, firm-wide facilities manager at Shoosmiths. “After an incident, they need us to be up and running again in a matter of hours, which is something we promise in our service level agreement.”
