It is hard sometimes to open a publication analysing international finance without reading comment announcing the demise of our industry. Yet the offshore finance industry continues to survive and, indeed, thrive.
There are certainly threats to the offshore wealth management industry. Primarily, the global regulatory environment has dramatically reshaped the traditional offshore world. This has been driven by the increased desire by major economies to force their citizens to repatriate offshore funds.
