Portugal’s largest law firm – PLMJ – is considering major internal reforms that could see senior partners step down from fee earning to focus on management and training, as the Lisbon leader moves to groom its next generation of partners.
The 200-lawyer firm is currently considering a proposal to tighten up its retirement policy by making partners reaching their mid-to-late fifties largely withdraw from fee earning to focus on training, management and business development.
