When Reuters’ general counsel Rosemary Martin asked firms pitching for a place on its panel for a description of their diversity policies, one firm had more reason than most to feel uncomfortable.
The all-male team it fielded to pitch for a coveted place on the news and financial information giant’s roster of advisers found itself before a Reuters team composed entirely of women. The two organisations’ diversity policies were clearly some distance apart.
