Baker & McKenzie has bolstered its e-mail system to ensure access in the event of a technological or natural disaster with the SunGard E-mail Availability Service (EAS).

The EAS synchronises the firm’s e-mail system to secure SunGard locations across the UK. If the internal e-mail system is disrupted for any reason, the service is activated and staff can continue sending e-mail securely from any place with an internet connection. Users are able to access their inbox, calendar and contacts in an interface similar to Outlook.
