Linklaters and Clifford Chance (CC) have taken lead roles on French construction giant Vinci’s €500m (£342m) hybrid bond issue last week, in what is being cited as one of the fastest-growing areas in the capital markets sector in recent years.
Linklaters, led by Paris finance partner Gilles Endreo, advised Societe Generale, Merrill Lynch, Calyon and the Royal Bank of Scotland on the deal, which involved the issue of the hybrid bonds out of France. CC advised Vinci, fielding a team under Jean-Baptiste de Martigny.
