Stephenson Harwood is facing a sizeable negligence claim by two shipping clients, in a case that looks set to go to trial following a recent High Court hearing to set out a timetable and directions for the proceedings.
The claim, brought by clients Navigation Maritime Bulgare, which manages the Bulgarian merchant fleet, and leading protection and indemnity club The West of England Ship Owners Mutual Insurance Association (Luxembourg), is for a sum in excess of £300,000 plus interest and costs.
