Spanish firms seal rare local merger

Madrid firm Ventura Garces & Lopez-Ibor Abogados has secured a merger with Barcelona-based practice Tirso Gracia Lawyers, in a rare domestic combination for the Spanish market.

Ventura Garces reached an agreement on 9 January to take over employment law outfit Tirso Gracia, having worked closely with the firm for a number of years. The deal has created a 24-lawyer firm.
