The London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games (LOCOG) has shelved plans for a formalised legal panel, opting instead to stick with its existing core advisers, but add other specialist firms on an ad hoc basis.

The organisation, which is responsible for the marketing, sponsorship and media rights of the 2012 Olympic Games, has decided not to initiate a formal tender process, instead using Clifford Chance (CC), Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer and Ashurst for its mainstream work.
