Salans has emerged from a busy week for its European practice with the firm launching its first office in Germany, after snaring a 12-partner team from Haarmann Hemmelrath and appointing new heads in London and Moscow.

As reported on legalweek.com (13 January), the 450-lawyer firm last week recruited the Berlin office of beleaguered independent Haarmann, which has been hit by a wave of defections, to secure a 35-lawyer team to open its first German practice.
