Beachcroft Wansbroughs has hired a new partner for its London arm from Allen & Overy as the national firm moves to beef up its profile on the UK’s busy junior stock exchange. Corporate finance partner Nick Gibbon will focus on growing Beachcrofts’ AIM portfolio alongside practice head Peter Jay.

Elsewhere, the 143-partner firm has recruited former Slaughter and May lawyer John Williams to head up its corporate group in Bristol. Williams joins from First Great Western trains, where he was a business development director.
