Belgium, and in particular its Flemish region, has now also entered the era of the design, build, finance and maintain (DBFM) contract.
DBFM contracts are ideal for major infrastructure and other works. Under such a contract, the private party will be in charge of the design, build, finance and long-term maintenance of the project.
