Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer has moved to justify its £75m legal bill from the mammoth BCCI litigation against the Bank of England, following news that Lovells is seeking to agree a costs figure for the case.
Freshfields litigation partner John Goddard, who led the team advising the bank, told Legal Week: “There are many reasons why our figures are more than [Lovells'].
