White & Case’s London arm has announced a hike in its student grants. From September 2006 trainees at its UK arm will receive a £7,500 maintenance grant for both the Legal Practice Course and the Graduate Diploma in Law conversion course.
The increase is a 36% rise on the current grant of £5,500. Philip Stopford, UK co-head of projects/infrastructure and graduate recruitment partner, said: {There is no doubt costs have risen and it made sense for us to do this.{ First reported on legalweek.com (13 October).
