Forget strategic advice, general counsel fret most about whether lawyers are up to advising on warranties and indemnities, according to a survey of mid-market M&A.

The Legal Week Benchmarker survey of 100 general counsel found 41% of respondents find advice on warranties and indemnities is the biggest sticking point in acquisitions. The next biggest problem cited, the small matter of negotiating the deal itself, received just 23% of the vote.
