Ego- such a small word – is crucial to being a successful female lawyer.

Unfortunately, a lack of self-worth is a trait among female lawyers that starts years before starting a campaign to make partner, or become general counsel. A recent survey of students at Harvard Law School illustrates this well. Asked if they considered themselves worthy of rating in the top quarter of law students at Harvard, a bullish 85% of male students said yes. Of the female respondents, a slim 10% rated themselves in the top quarter, highlighting the fact that female lawyers need to radically re-assess the way they rate their abilities and manage their careers.
