Spanish heavyweight Rodrigo Uria, managing partner of Slaughter and May’s local ally Uria & Menendez, is to step down from front-line management in a symbolic move for the elite Madrid firm.
Uria, one of Spain’s best-known commercial lawyers, has been managing partner of the firm since 1978 and was instrumental in building it into one of the country’s top corporate and banking practices.
