Leading consultant Paul Gilbert has been asked to remain on a key Chancery Lane committee despite being controversially replaced as a Law Society council member by the Commerce & Industry Group (C&I Group).
Gilbert, who lost his council role in August after the C&I Group replaced the two in-house representatives on the society’s main council, was asked to stay on the 12-member governance review committee last month.
