Norton Rose has consolidated its position in the world of shipping finance after advising Germany’s HSH Nordbank on a $520m (£290m) loan in the takeover of fleet-owner Navios Maritime Holdings.
The financing deal, part of a $700m (£391m) acquisition, is one of the largest shipping finance deals so far in 2005 and is the third major transaction this year that the firm has undertaken for HSH Nordbank, a specialist in the world of shipping finance.
