enron: still in the spotlightKirkland & Ellis has agreed to fork out $5.2m (£2.88m) to absolve it from any potential future litigation stemming from the collapse of Enron, in the latest twist to the long-running energy company’s scandal.

The Chicago leader reached a settlement last week (15 September) with Judge Arthur Gonzalez, the US bankruptcy judge heading Enron’s controversial restructuring, to release the firm from liability with regard to the disgraced giant.
