Clifford Chance (CC) and Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer have secured the lead roles on the hostile €22.5bn (£15.2bn) bid for Spanish power giant Endesa – one of the largest deals of the year.
The move sees Spanish rival Gas Natural bid for 100% of the New York and Madrid-listed Endesa’s share capital in a €7.81bn (£5.2bn) cash and stock offer.
