Uria conflict gifts City duo on E22bn Spanish hostile bid

Clifford Chance (CC) and Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer have secured the lead roles on the hostile E22.5bn (£15.2bn) bid for Spanish power giant Endesa – one of the largest deals of the year.

The move sees Spanish rival Gas Natural bid for 100% of the New York and Madrid-listed Endesa’s share capital in a E7.81bn cash and stock offer.
