Norton Rose has represented new client Emirates Telecommunications Corporation (Etisalat) on its $2.59bn (£1.41bn) purchase of a stake in Pakistan Telecommunications, the largest-ever privatisation in Pakistan.
The deal sees UAE-based Etisalat beat a number of international bidders to acquire a 26% management stake in the state-owned Pakistan Telecommunications, which is expected to be closed by September.
