New York duo Shearman & Sterling and Weil Gotshal & Manges have scored the lead roles on German publisher Axel Springer’s 2.5bn(£1.7bn) takeover of the country’s leading TV group, ProSiebenSat.1.
The deal will create Germany’s second-biggest media group and also the only listed media group with activities both in the print media and TV sectors.
