Richards Butler has appointed property partner Paul Johnston as its new chairman, replacing Andrew Taylor, who is standing down after reaching the end of his second term in the role.

As first reported on www.legalweek.com (29 July), Johnston, who has been a partner at the firm since 1988, will serve a three-year term starting from 1 August. Johnston has previously been a member of the firm’s partnership board and takes over from Taylor, who had been the firm’s chairman for five years.
