Magic circle firms take lead roles in £233m pub buy-out

Magic circle firms Clifford Chance (CC) and Slaughter and May have secured the lead roles on the £233m buy-out of pub operator Avebury by Punch Taverns.

The deal, which is due to complete in early August, will see Punch take on Avebury’s 409 pubs, in the latest of a series of transactions in the pub sector.
