Slaughter and May and Norton Rose have bagged lead roles on the biggest UK property sale of the year, the £1.2bn acquisition by ING of a real estate portfolio from Abbey National.
The size of the deal surpasses Inter-Continental Hotels Group’s sale of a £1bn UK hotel portfolio to a Lehman Brothersbacked consortium earlier this year, which generated lead roles for Paul Hastings Janofsky & Walker.
