It is now nearly three months since the collapse of MG Rover and the aftermath is still being felt in the West Midlands as former MG Rover workers begin to pick up the pieces.

Figures released by the development agency Advantage West Midlands show that 1,250 redundant Longbridge workers have already found new jobs, more than 1,000 workers have started training courses and nearly 3,000 ‘at risk’ jobs among MG Rover suppliers in the region have been safeguarded in the short term following emergency grants.
