Top plaintiff firm Milberg Weiss Bershad & Schulman has been embroiled in a row with rival law firms after being accused of trying to edge out existing counsel on an on-going cookie cutter’ tax shelter class action.
The accusation has been levelled at Milberg Weiss by rival plaintiff firms Bernstein Litowitz Berger & Grossmann and Patton Roberts McWilliams & Capshaw as they attempt to confirm their status as lead advisers to the class action against KPMG, in which Sidley Austin Brown & Wood is also a defendant.
