Like many property lawyers working in the southeast, I spent a few years with a City property practice, forward funding, developing and doing all things institutional. Property work in the region outside of London is very different.

The residential market largely drives development in the southeast; while many practices have property clients who operate on a pan-regional and sometimes national basis, most of the deals we do are focused closer to home. This is not just peculiar to legal services; our experience is echoed by many of the other property professionals and bankers with whom we work.
