The recently-merged Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman has shut its eight-lawyer Stamford office.
A Pillsbury Winthrop partner told Legal Week: “It was a purely business decision. We had been looking at the Stamford office for some time because of its size.” The firm’s local head, partner Thomas Clauss, has already transferred to its New York office. The firm said the move was unrelated to the April merger between Pillsbury Winthrop and Washington DC’s Shaw Pittman.
