Business lawyers are overwhelmingly against the UK signing up to the European Union (EU) constitution, according to research which suggests that the profession has no appetite for further European integration.
The latest Legal Week/ EJ Legal Big Question poll of more than 100 senior UK-based partners shows that 66% of respondents would vote ‘no’ in the event of a referendum on the EU constitution, with just 34% saying they would give the proposal the thumbs-up.
