Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer has scored a premium deal from British Land after the property investment giant instructed the firm on its £811m acquisition of retail park operator Pillar Properties.
Freshfields is understood to have landed the role after a conflict ruled out British Land regular SJ Berwin, handing the magic circle firm its first significant instruction for the FTSE 100 company.
